Closing Bell: Nifty below 22,850, Sensex down 143 pts; IT stocks shine
Bajaj Finance, Eicher Motors, Eternal, Trent, Maruti Suzuki were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers were Infosys, Tech Mahindra, TCS, HCL Technologies and UltraTech Cement. On the sectoral front, IT index rose 2.5%, while auto, consumer durables, energy, media, metal, pharma, realty, private bank down 1-2%. Nifty Midcap and smallcap indices down more than 2% each.
