Sensex Today | Stock Market Live: Indian stock market benchmarks extended their rally on Thursday, October 15, with Sensex up 1,207.62 points or 1.66 percent at 73,989.51, and the Nifty up 349.05 points or 1.54 percent at 22,971.75. About 1579 shares advanced, 2159 shares declined, and 181 shares unchanged. IT stocks led sectoral gains with 2 percent jump, while Auto rose 1.5 percent and Private Bank advanced 1.5 percent. PSU banks fell 0.96 percent, while Energy and Media also traded lower. Broader markets underperformed, with smallcaps declining 1.02 percent and midcaps edging down 0.05 percent.
