Sensex Today | Stock Market Live: Indian stock market benchmarks ended sharply higher on Friday, with the Sensex jumping 879 points, or 1.23 percent, to 72,472 and the Nifty gaining 289 points, or 1.30 percent, to close at 22,520. IT led sectoral gains with a 3.02 percent surge, while FMCG rose 2.14 percent and PSU banks gained 1.63 percent.
